What are the best reasons to have a destination wedding?

Destination weddings are popular because they allow the bride and groom more opportunity to truly interact with their guests over a longer event.  They are usually intimate, meaning less obligatory invites and more must-have loved ones. 

Destination weddings are more relaxed, fun and less expensive.  They can be intimate or they can be large.  You are getting married in a dream location with friends and family there to help you celebrate.  

Why is a destination wedding less expensive than a traditional local wedding?

Most hotels in wedding destinations in Mexico and Caribbean are all inclusive properties, where all food and beverage, tips and taxes are included on the guest rate.   Therefore the couple only spends what’s needed for their own travel, accommodations, and wedding package details and inclusions.  In addition to that, all-inclusive resorts offer wedding packages including some decorations that you can upgrade in order to compliment your vision.

Are destination weddings really less stressful to plan?

How much does a destination wedding cost?

Do we need save the dates and formal invites?

For a destination wedding the process and timing is different versus traditional weddings.  You need to give your guests, as much time as possible to plan.  Send save the dates as soon as you know you’ve made a decision, a year out is ideal.  Most couples build a wedding website including all information such as destination, hotel, cost, etc.  Our experts at Touch of Class Wedding Planners can help you with this.

Do hotels actually provide free weddings?

Particularly all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and Caribbean are offering great deals on wedding packages, including some that are complimentary.  These free wedding packages varies from resort to resort.  Typically a complimentary wedding package will include an amazing location looking over the ocean, some flowers, a basic cake, champagne toast and basic decorations.  You can upgrade your wedding as much as your budget allows.

What’s the catch on free weddings?

There are restrictions and requirements, which vary from hotel to hotel, but most of them will require a number of rooms booked, a minimum length of stay or a type of room category to book. The complimentary wedding package will include the basics.  Any upgrades or extras you choose to add will be at an additional cost to you.
